Start using Sun iMessenger in 3 simple steps:

STEP 1. Text iM to 2746

Just text IM to 2746. We will send you our Getting Started guide, and if this is your first time with iMessenger, you will instantly receive your free day of unlimited chatting!

You can start right away, by logging in with any of your instant-messaging accounts.

STEP 2. Enroll your online IM accounts

Just text 2746, and send:
LOGIN <IM service> <username> <password>

To log in to Yahoo! Messenger, send LOGIN YAHOO <yahoo-id> <password> to 2746.
Ex: LOGIN YAHOO tomas_cruz password

To log in to MSN Messenger, send LOGIN MSN <email-address> <password> to 2746.
Ex: LOGIN MSN tomas_cruz@hotmail.com pass1234

To log in to AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), send LOGIN AOL <screen-name> <password> to 2746.
Ex: LOGIN AOL tomas_cruz200 password1234

To log in to ICQ, send LOGIN ICQ <unique-id-number> <password> to 2746.
Ex: LOGIN ICQ 9292540 pass4321

TIP: A successful login to an IM account will give you a list of online buddies.

STEP 3. Start chatting with your buddies!

To start chatting with an IM buddy, send CHAT <service> <buddyname> <message> to 2746.

Ex: CHAT AOL brod_pit Heller!

The message will be sent to your buddy straight away if he is online.

TIPS: SUN iM CHAT SHORTCUTS

TIP #1: You only have to register your IM accounts once. When you want to log in to all your accounts again, just send LOGIN to 2746 and Sun iMessenger will do it all for you!

TIP # 2: When you get a message from a buddy, it comes from a special number – that buddy's iMessenger number. Just reply to the text, and send your message right back to them – just like any other textmate.

You can even save this number to your phonebook – you can use it forever!

TIP #3: If you send 'CHAT AOL brod_pit' (that is, with out a message), you will then get a reply SMS that says:
"To send a message to brod_pit, simply Reply to this text and enter your message!"

This will tell you brod_pit's iMessenger number. Save it in your phonebook, or press Reply to send him a message!


Some more things...

(*) Logging Out
When you want to log out, just send LOGOUT to 2746.

(*) Seeing Who's Online
To see which of your buddies are online, sent BUDDIES to 2746.

(*) When your trial is over...
When your free trial finishes, you'll automatically be using iMessenger Pay-As-You-Go, which costs P2 for each LOGIN, and P0.50 for each message to a buddy (and nothing else!).
